Lorean Markham St. John

Lorean M. St. John, 89 of New Market, AL passed away on Saturday at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. “Speedy” St. John; parents, Ben E. Markham and Elmaine Nayman Markham; daughter, Rita St. John Drake; great great grandchild, Linkin Gigandet; two brothers, Clifton and Leon Markham; four sisters, Dorothy Edge-Wuersch, Betty Hughes and Iveta Russell, Esther Mae Markham.

Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Lois Ann Gigandet of Boaz, AL, Kathy Marie Laney of New Market, AL and Donna Lynn Sadler of New Market, AL; ten grandchildren, Dwight Rector of Gurley, AL, James Walden of New Market, AL, Tonya Charles of Flintville, TN, Eugene Gigandet of Kilpatrick, AL, Michelle Barnhill of Crossville, AL, Elizabeth Higginbotham of Leeds, AL, Ronnie Jones of New Market, AL, Dwayne Wilbanks of New Market, AL, Nick St. John of Harvest, AL and Shaun Drake of New Market, AL; 15 great grandchildren, Austen Gigandet, Kirsten Gigandet, Corey Gigandet, Rena Gigandet, Hannah Higginbotham, Jonathan McBay, Kasey Yates, Peyton McBay, Brooklyn McBay, Nicole St. John, Ashlyn Jones, Teagan Jones, Averie Higginbotham, Kayla Higginbotham, Kara Higginbotham; three great great grandchildren, Brantley Gigandet, Aubrey Rein Gigandet, Spencer Gigandet; two sisters, Christine Medekie, Nell Medley; one brother, Charles Markham.

You may visit with the family on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 5-8pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral Services, officiated by Chase Gallimore, will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 11:00am in Valhalla’s Chapel.
