When I met Susan in high school, I quickly gained a life long friend. What I didn't realize was that I was lucky enough to also gain a set of parents too. They treated me like a daughter at a time when I needed parents so badly. I don't know where I would be today if it weren't for them.

Lou was the only dad I had through high school. He taught me that fathers can be strict but loving, and funny, and tolerant of some weird hair color choices. Most of all he taught me that real dads will be there no matter what. Plus, he had the best dad jokes. I know, I am not supposed to encourage him, but he did.

Lou was a long time friend and fellow professional. I particularly remember his good will, great sense of humor, and laugh. He was a friend's friend, who would do anything for you, and cared about doing the right thing. He was someone who made others feel good about themselves, and was a genuine inspiration to do better. He was the kind of guy who wanted to help others by sharing his experiences and what he'd learned in life. You felt like you had a good day just to be around him. Go with God, Lou. Another Marine guarding Heaven's Streets. 

Lou, you were a mainstay in the Huntsville Veterans Community and you will be missed by all who knew you.  Always cheerful, I very much enjoyed our many conversations at HCMOAA events and the Board Meetings.  May your memory be eternal.

Lou, we are going to miss you our friend.  I'll miss the golf outings, Semper Fi Task Force missions, Marine Ball, Italian dinners and just telling stories.   Mary and I will maintain contact with Laurie and family and yes we will talk about the good times we had with you.   Until we meet again.

As SFCTF Chairman I ask Lou to grow And expand the Task Force’s Vision into the future through the Strategic plan. He executed that all important challenge with a Marine’s focus to Absolute perfection. My first reflection at the Sadden news was Lou standing at the door For Our Heroes Week planning meetings welcoming all with that special inviting smile , firm handshake or that all engaging hug. 

Oh, so many of us will miss him but I can’t think of anyone better at heaven’s door dressed so magnificently and proudly in his Marine Dress Uniform. Rest Easy My Friend - This world and our nation is a better place because of you and the  Mission You Accomplished with your very personal touch.

Our deepest condolences to all of the Kubik Family.  CWO Kubik was a great example of not only a Marine, but also a loving husband, father, and grandfather. We have many fond memories of his visits with Susan when we were young parents stationed in 29 Palms (especially games of pinochle) and later in Washington, DC.  He leaves an incredible legacy for his family. Semper Fi

Lou and Loretta were great supporters of Semper Fi and all things Marines.  Lou and Loretta were good friends to my husband Charles prior to his death and a friend to me later.
Loretta and family, you have my deepest condolences.  I pray for your peace and comfort as you surrender to the joys you and Lou shared.

My condolences to each member of the Kubik family in the loss of a special man in each one's life.  

I met John at one of our Military Officers Association of American meetings. We always had very interesting conversations. He was a great asset to our Chapter.  He will leave a gaping hole in our Chapter. I offer my condolences to his friends and family.

Lou and I scuba dived together while assigned at small island, Kwajalein Atoll in the South Pacific. A very kind and patient gentleman that enjoyed every minute of his life. A man that selflessly gave to others his time, mentorship and good will. He will always be a true Patriot! Please accept our condolences.

I met Lou at a MOAA golf tournament meeting in 2016. He was so welcoming and excited that I was going to be part of the planning team and later a volunteer for Semper Fi. He was always so thoughtful in asking how I was doing and how my family was as well. He never said no when asked for a favor or take on a leadership role in one of the many organizations he was involved in. His kind spirit was all around him every minute of the day and his smile would light up a room! I will miss him more than I can say and am thankful knowing I will see him again in Heaven. He was an angel among us and we will not forget him.

Lou was a great man!  He was always cheerful (even regarding his golf scores!) and so very helpful with everything.

Our Chapter will miss him and I will miss him as a friend even more!
