Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Terrell Boyd officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
Mrs. Todd was born on November 3, 1938 in Wetzlar, Germany to Wilhelm and Johanna Rine Brand. She grew up in Germany during WWII, a time of bombings, severe casualties of war and shortages of food, coal and warm water.
Mrs. Todd met the love of her life and future husband, Darwin C. Todd, while he was stationed in Germany. To this union four children were born. She traveled the world with him and finally settled in Huntsville, Alabama. Mrs. Todd had a genuine and devoted love for children and served as a Nanny for many influential families in the Huntsville area. Her legacy will continue not only through the lives of her biological children but also through the lives of the numerous children, she cared for throughout the years.
Mrs. Todd was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Sanders (David); sons, Darwin C. Todd (Beth), David W. Todd (Jennifer) and Danny J. Todd; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
