Samuel Earl Laster

SAMUEL EARL LASTER July 14, 1946 – November 3, 2015 Samuel Earl Laster, 69, passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday, November 3, 2015. He leaves to treasure his precious memory, brother, William (Billy) Laster and wife, Nancy of Jupiter, FL.; daughters, Mary Glasscock of Decatur, AL; and Michelle Bruff, of Brandon, MS., Melissa Hill of Oregon; son, Samuel Earl Laster Jr. of Indiana. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, one niece, 2 nephews and other wonderful friends and family. Sam was a proud US Army veteran of 24 years and was a brave representative for the United States in Vietnam, as well as in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. As a retired veteran, he took a 2nd retirement from Adtran in Huntsville. He was also an avid fan of Science Fiction “The Truth is Out There”. He gained great joy and took great pride from caring for his many plants and his cat (Stoney). We will miss him greatly! You may visit with the family Thursday evening 6 pm – 8 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home.
