

Wallace Calvin Weaver, 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2015. Mr. Weaver was born January 8, 1926 in Jones, Autauga County, AL to Willie Wilson Weaver and Mary Florence Hill. Mr. Weaver was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Rubye Wells Weaver. He is survived by three daughters, Debbie (Alan) Barton of Decatur, AL; Nan (Mike) Kirk and Susan (Robert) Williams of Huntsville; four granddaughters, Rachel Mulder, Becky Hill, Linda Johnson and Karen Sauceda; two great grandsons, Weston and Ethan; and two sisters, Zelma Champion of Huntsville, and Mable Neighbors of Hartselle; and one brother, Elton Weaver of Falkville. During World War II, Mr. Weaver served in the U. S. Navy in the Pacific Theater as a Seaman First Class and an Aviation Machinist Mate. He graduated from Auburn University in 1952 with a B.S. Degree in Agricultural Engineering. Mr. Weaver was employed by the Alabama Power Company for 36 years in Montevallo, Gadsden, and Goodwater. He was a District Manager for 15 years. He was also a Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church Huntsville, and through the years was very involved in Baptist life at the local, association and state levels. He was a member of the Gideon International and was a Past-District Governor of the Lions Club International. Mr. Weaver was dearly loved and will be greatly missed!
