

William Floyd Isbell passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019. He is preceded in death by his father, William L. Isbell; mother, Fannie Jane Toney; and two sisters, Ida Mae McGehee and Ora Lee McGehee.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 32 years, Dorothy Elmore Isbell; son, Toney Isbell (Kathy); sister, Annie Sue Campbell; stepdaughter, Brenda Elmore Meginniss (Jack); one grandson, Michael T. Isbell; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Isbell was a loving husband and was dedicated to his family and friends, always willing, and offering to help. He proudly and honorably served both the US Army and US Navy for 25 years to include tours of duty in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters during WWII. He served as a Mason and was a member of Holmes Street United Methodist Church. Mr. Isbell volunteered for Meals on Wheels and performed services at the Huntsville Humane Society. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling and had a love for animals.
You may visit with the family at Valhalla Funeral Home on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 11AM to 1PM. Funeral services will begin at 1PM with entombment to follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
