Ann Leimbacher Bruce

Ann Leimbacher Bruce, 87, passed away November 13, 2023. She was born January 15, 1936 in Joliet, Illinois to the late Raymond and Grace (Anderson) Leimbacher. She graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Pharmacy. She worked as a pharmacist, then was co-owner and bookkeeper of an office supply company. As she loved cards and wrappings, her real professional joy was card and stationary stores, and she worked in several area retailers over many years.

Ann was past President of the Children’s Bureau Auxiliary. She was a dedicated member of Northminster Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis for decades where she was active in children’s education and served as a deacon and elder.

She enjoyed traveling, going to the movies, gardening and flower arranging, and being with her friends, but family was the most important part of her life.

Ann was a loving mother to her daughter, Susie (Jerry) Johnson and son, David (Wendy) Bruce; grandmother to Alex and Noelle, great-grandmother to two little rapscallions, and aunt to Karen Grochowsky and Ann Schultz.

A memorial calling will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from noon to 2PM at the chapel at Hoosier Village followed by a memorial service and reception. The chapel address is 9787 Hoosier Village Dr., Indianapolis, Indiana, 46268. As Ann loved Christmas, festive holiday attire is encouraged!
