Bill was the oldest of three siblings, Lou Ann Saalfrank, Jerry Meyer and Daniel Meyer. He grew up in Hoagland, Indiana and later met his one and only love, Phyllis Meyer, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Bill enjoyed spending every moment with his wife, who were married just shy of 60 years. They had a deep love for travel and found immense joy exploring the world, with Palm Desert and the island of Maui holding special places in their hearts. Soaking up the sun in these locations brought him peace and happiness. He found equal fulfillment and pride in building houses and tending to the landscaping that stands as lasting testaments to his skill and dedication.
Bill built a distinguished career spanning more than four decades in the mortgage industry, earning the trust of colleagues and clients alike through his integrity, expertise and unwavering dedication. Known for his genuine love of working with people, he approached every interaction with warmth, patience and sincere desire to help others. He will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments, but for the kindness, respect and humanity he brought to every person he met.
Bill's ultimate accomplishment was his family. He took great delight in watching his family grow and found deep gratification in the time spent together creating lasting memories. His greatest joy was with his family in a loud room filled with lively chatter, laughter and joyful chaos. This filled his heart beyond measure.
He is survived by his loving children who were a constant source of pride, three sons, Mike (Julie), Blaine (Julie), Nathan (Tammy) and one daughter Andrea (Lisa). Bill cherished seven amazing grandchildren, Rebecca, Jacob, Kevin, Grace, Andrew, Amelia and Will. His legacy lives on through each of them, in the lessons he taught, values of kindness, hard work, compassion and the love he gave so freely.
