She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. She was a wonderful homemaker and mom.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas Gilbert, Michael Gilbert, and Andy (Theresa) Gilbert; seven grandchildren, and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her son, William Gilbert; daughter Candy Ott; sister, Honey Baldwin; and former husband, Thomas A. Gilbert.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 1-2 PM followed by a service at 2 PM in the chapel at St. Augustine Home, 2345 W. 86th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Billie’s memory may be made to St. Augustine Home/Little Sisters of the Poor, 2345 W. 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46260.
