

89, of Fishers, Indiana departed this life Monday, June 24, 2019. She was born February 2, 1930 in a Crawfordsville, Indiana hospital to the late Rev. Virgil D. and Christmas Eve Ragan. After her birth Bonnie returned to Ladoga, Indiana where she grew up and attended school. Bonnie later moved to Indianapolis, where she graduated from Shortridge High School. Bonnie attended Hanover College completing her degree in elementary education from Butler University where she met her husband Carl.
She and Carl married on June 12, 1953 at Fairview Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis with her father presiding.
Bonnie taught school at Martinsville Elementary and then dedicated herself to her young family and church. She was formerly a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church, Meridian Street United Methodist Church, St. Luke United Methodist Church and was currently a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church in Fishers.
She was an active and dedicated member of all of her churches and had served various roles as a deacon and a member of the women’s association, where she was happy to help plan church parties and functions.
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Carl E. Kesling; her devoted children, Mark Darby (Liz) Kesling, Rebecca Eve (Jerry) Ross and Martha Jo (Jim) Kesling Hoyt; six grateful grandchildren, Elizabeth Rebecca (Kevin) Hunter Kesling, Rachel Ellen (Rawson) Kesling Evans, Adam Jerrison (Amanda) Ross, Adrienne Michelle (Danny) Ross Royalty, Aaron Thomas (Christina) Ross and Hannah May Hoyt; beloved great-grandchildren, Belle Iseminger, Riley Ross, Oliver Hunter Kesling, Ethan Royalty, Arlo Hunter Kesling
Private committal services will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery. A memorial service for Bonnie will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 31st at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Fishers. Memorial contributions are suggested in Bonnie’s name to: New Hope Memorial Fund.
