Christopher Michael Roberti, age 47, passed away on August 21, 2025. Chris was born in the Chicago suburb of Melrose Park, IL and grew up on the north side of Indianapolis, IN. He graduated from North Central High School in 1996. After high school, Chris attended Indiana University in Bloomington where he was an active member of his fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He later graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Chris began his career in management with Pilot Travel Centers, where he received the President's Club Award for his exceptional performance. Throughout his career, Chris held several roles in the fields of accounting and finance, most recently as the Director of CFO Services at Cade and Associates in Carmel, Indiana.
Chris developed a love of sports at an early age. He was a great youth hockey player and traveled to Russia with his travel team in middle school. Chris was an avid golfer with an uncanny ability to locate everyone’s ball when it (frequently) didn’t hit the fairway. He was committed to improving his golf game at any cost, including taking up early morning hot yoga in his 40s to improve his strength and flexibility. Chris was a dedicated fan of his hometown Chicago teams – the Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks.
Chris’s daughter, Bella, was his greatest joy. Chris and Bella shared a love of rollercoasters, big dogs, and chocolate. They both enjoyed traveling together and staying in for homemade dinners - Chris’s tacos or steaks on the grill and Bella’s chocolate cake with vanilla icing. Chris and Bella adored their giant Cane Corso puppy, Dixie Belle, even when she chewed up their belongings and innocently jumped in their laps as if she were the size of a chihuahua. Always Bella’s biggest fan, Chris earnestly coached her Carmel Dad’s Club volleyball team and praised her many academic successes, always reminding her of the importance of education.
Chris’s family and friends will cherish the memories of “Bird’s” big heart and deep love, beautiful smile, soulful eyes, keen mind, cranky wit, beat-up Birks, and his lasting bond of love and loyalty.
Chris is survived by his cherished daughter, Isabella Roberti (daughter of Carrie Alexander) of Carmel, IN; his loving parents, Ronald and Jacquelyn Roberti of Palatine, IL; his beloved sisters, Dani Travis of Chicago, IL, Destiny (Dave) Kalinowski of Roselle, IL, and Natalie Roberti (Kyle Lanphere) of Waunakee, WI; nephews James and Ryan Sadoski; his devoted Cane Corso puppy, Dixie Belle; and countless heartbroken friends who had the privilege to know him. Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Kimberly Susan Thorn.
A private inurnment will be held in Indianapolis, IN. A Celebration of the Life for Christopher Roberti will be held on Saturday, September 27th at 2750 S 875 E, Zionsville, IN, 46077 from 1-4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an Indiana 529 Savings Plan established for Chris’s daughter, Bella, at ugift529.com (enter Ugift code: W2M-D3T).
