Crosby served in the US Army from 1959-1965. He attended trade school and went on to become a plumber and pipefitter. Campy was a proud member of the South Glens Falls, NY Volunteer Fire Department for a number of years.
Crosby married Margaret Lawrence on November 10, 1962 and they had 3 children, Mary (Shawn) Brierley, Mimi (Kevin) Starrett, and Suzanne (Robert) Bowers, 8 grandchildren, Gabrielle (Jessie) Baker, Robert (Monica) Bowers III, Sam (Samantha) Starrett, Katie Bowers, Jack Starrett, Julia Brierley, Evan Brierley, Neal Brierley, and eight great-grandchildren, Mary Starrett, Robert Bowers IV, Crosby Baker, Rose Bowers, Dorothy Baker, Sophia Starrett, Richard Bowers and Francis Baker.
Crosby was an avid card player and gambler. He loved to bowl, golf, fish, travel and enjoyed watching sports. Campy also loved to spend time with family and shoot the shit outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, and his son-in-law, Bob.
Visitation and services will be private for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials or donations may be made to the Prime Life Enrichment Center in Carmel, Indiana where Campy enjoyed visiting and playing cards with friends.
