Dana Getz Moore

Dana Getz Moore (1964-2024) Beloved mother, grandmother and wife, Dana, 59, of Indianapolis died peacefully on May 2, 2024. She was born in Milwaukee, WI in 1964, and moved to Carmel, IN shortly after. Dana attended Carmel High School and met the love of her life, Mike, at Indiana University where she was a member of Tri Delta Sorority. Dana and Mike celebrated 36 years of happy marriage and raised their three children in Indianapolis. Dana is survived by husband Mike Moore; children Lily (Frank) Hapak, Grace Moore and Joe Moore; grandchild Haydon Hapak; mother Rose Getz; and siblings Chris, Shelley and John. She is preceded in death by her loving father Marvin Getz. Dana was an avid Hoosier fan, loved life at Walloon Lake, and was an active member of multiple organizations she held dear to her heart. She was a devout parishioner of St Luke Catholic Church who was steadfast in her faith and was admired for the pride she held in her beliefs. She considered her greatest achievements to be her children and grandchild, and lovingly said her most important job was “to get them to heaven.” Anyone who has met Dana will say it only took one conversation to consider her a dear friend. She will always be remembered for the unconditional love and commitment she gave her family and friends. A funeral service to honor Dana's life will be held at 11:00 am on May 9th at St. Luke Catholic Church. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering and celebrating Dana.
