
David was born to Robert and Dorothy Dickinson, in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 6, 1958. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked for his family's business, Mobile Drilling. After the sale of Mobile Drilling, David went on to work for several other companies, ending his career with Morningside Exteriors before retiring.
In addition to his full-time career, David devoted many years to refereeing and coaching soccer, remaining an active and valued member of the Indiana soccer community. He was especially proud to support the IHSAA soccer scholarship fund, reflecting his commitment to the skilled Indiana soccer community.
In his free time, David loved the outdoors, and found joy in hiking, camping and fishing. He spent summers at Lake Wawasee in Northern Indiana with family and friends. Among many of his admirable qualities, David's big heart and generosity were most notable.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Robert Dickinson. He is survived by his three children, Kristina (Carlos) Rico, Christopher Dickinson, Analise (Milan) Ristic; four grandchildren; his sister Cheryl (Thomas) Sagehorn; and his brother Douglas (Karen) Dickinson.
A private celebration of life is planned for December 2025.
