Frank Michael Greenwald

Frank Michael Greenwald, 91, of Indianapolis, Indiana departed this life at his home early Friday morning, August 15, 2025. He was born on January 26, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Alfred & Mary (nee Ward) Greenwald.

Frank worked for Channel 6, WRTV as an engineer for over 35 years. Prior to RTV6, he had also worked in radio as an engineer with WIRE, WIBC and WFBM in Indianapolis. He was a longtime member of IBEW #481 and a dedicated charter member of St. Monica Catholic Church.

Frank was dedicated to his Catholic faith and family. He loved being a grandpa and great-grandpa and supporting his family in all of their endeavors. Frank enjoyed the outdoors and was an accomplished gardener and loved researching his family’s genealogy.

Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Macie (nee Stowers) Greenwald and sister, Mary Ann Johnson.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Mary Helen (Damon) Carter; sons, James E. (Sandra) Greenwald and F. Michael (special friend Linda) Greenwald; granddaughter, Margaret Greenwald; grandsons, Michael Greenwald, Christopher Greenwald, Christian (special friend Naomi Inoa), Nicholas, Jonah, and Bryce Carter, Matthew (Katie) Greenwald, David (Stephanie) Greenwald, Andrew (Nitgna) Greenwald; great granddaughters, Kayla (fiancé, Quintin Hunkin) Greenwald, Mayci Morris, Lilly Greenwald, Phoebe Greenwald, Rani Greenwald, Ren Carter, great grandsons, Kameron Greenwald, and Elliott Carter.

Visitation will be held on Friday August 22nd, from 4-7 p.m. at Leppert Mortuary - Nora Chapel, 740 E. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday August 23rd at 10 a.m. Calvary Catholic Cemetery Chapel 435 W. Troy Ave., Indianapolis, IN. Visitation will also be held at the chapel on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until time of Mass. Burial at Calvary Cemetery will follow Mass.
