Geraldine graduated from the Heron School of Art. She worked in sales for Indiana Bell then AT&T in the National Yellow book department. She was the first female sales manager at Indiana Bell. She won numerous sales awards over her 30 year career.
She was a member of the Riviera Club in Indianapolis. Geraldine loved the beach and vacations in Petoskey, Michigan. She was a fan of Butler basketball and the Indiana Pacers. Another passion of Gerry’s was fashion. Her love for clothing was evident in her chic wardrobe. Regardless of the occasion, she was always dressed to the nines and no outfit was complete without accessories to match.
Geraldine is survived by her son John Willis; her daughter Lisa Willingham; and 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband John P. Willis, her father Leonard Greer and her mother Wanetta Greer.
A visitation for Geraldine will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Leppert Mortuary – Nora, 740 East 86th St, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:30 PM at Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46208.
