Greg was a father, a husband, a brother and a son. He was a good man who only had a kind heart, who loved with all he could and showed it in every action. He would spoil his loved ones rotten if given the opportunity, and he almost always put them above himself. Words alone cannot do justice to the amazing man he was, and the reality has yet to set in.
He dearly loved his wife, daughter, family and friends.
Greg graduated from Greenfield Central High and Indiana University. Professionally he was a manufacturing representative for laboratory furniture and equipment, culminating with starting his own business, Lab Interiors Group with long time partner and friend, Mark Skole. Over the years Greg worked on many large projects with IU, Eli Lily and other large entities.
Greg was a big Colts fan and attended over 60 Indianapolis 500 races, and still loved Hoosier football and basketball no matter how painful that love was. He enjoyed playing golf, was an excellent cook, and appreciated fine wine. He had a large circle of friends including the beloved ‘Greenfield Gang’.
He also enjoyed traveling, and trips to Costa Rica over the past 7 years were an annual highlight he greatly enjoyed.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife Julie and daughter Adrienne, and his brothers, Doug (Brenda) and Brian. In-laws Doris Dimond, Dan and Lynn Dimond, Ann and Justin Wrenne, Laura and Pat Kelley, and many nieces and nephews.
A public calling will be held on Monday, August 28 th , from 1-5 PM at Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel, at 740 East 86 th Street, Indianapolis, 46240.
A private service and burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to WFYI Public Media, the St. Vincent DePaul Food Bank, or the American Heart Association.
