Helen H. Babb

Helen H. Babb, 95, of Indianapolis, passed away December 3, 2019. She was born November 25, 1924 in Eaton, Ohio to the late Herbert and Elizabeth Ann (Huber) Hawley. Helen grew up in Springfield, Ohio; Richmond, Indiana; Columbus, Ohio; and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She began her career as a Peg Count Clerk for Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania in June of 1942 and retired from Indiana Bell in December of 1982 as the Assistant Secretary of the Company. Helen enjoyed playing tennis and was a member of numerous bridge clubs. Helen is survived by her husband, Emerson M. Babb; three stepchildren, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and brother, Joseph William Hawley. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert E. Kuhnle, in 1971. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 11:30 AM at St. Luke Catholic Church 7575 Holliday Drive East, Indianapolis, Indiana. Calling will be also be held at the church on Wednesday morning beginning at 10:30 AM.
