

Jim spent his early years in Wellston, OH and Clay City, IL before moving to Worland, WY. Jim proudly served in the Wyoming Army National Guard’s 300th Field Artillery Battalion from 1950 to 1952, seeing active combat in the Korean War. After returning to Wyoming, he was employed by the Pure Oil Company of Worland, and the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of Worland. Obtaining the position of District Manager both in Riverton, WY and Rapid City, SD he retired after 30 years of service in 1989.
Jim was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, boating, traveling, and appreciating the wonder of God’s creation. He passed this legacy on to his children and grandchildren. His faith was expressed by his service in the local church. He loved singing hymns, and his family fondly remembers their meal-time prayers. Jim was married to Evelyn Claire (Johnston) Harry on May 3, 1952. He faithfully cared for her until her death in 1986. He was surprised to find love a 2nd time, marrying Marjorie Ann Schaaf on February 27, 1987. They recently celebrated 32 years of marriage.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Ann (Schaaf) Harry; son, Randall (Victoria) Harry; daughters, Susan (Alan) Mullin and Marsha (Daniel) Kiel; stepson, Robert Linderman; stepdaughters, Ronda (Richard) Curtis and Roxine (Travis) Leighton; grandchildren, Kristopher (Christina) Mullin, Chanda (Allen) Reigel, Johanna (Robby) Hieser, Jeremiah (Kasey) Kiel, Sandell (Tiffani) Harry, Gabriel (Emma) Harry, Joshua (Codi) Harry, Kristine (Darron) Butler, Lindy (Joseph) Sink, Brooke (Mike) Vandorne, Gavin (Kendall) Linderman, Lance (Breanna) Linderman, Sarah (Mark) Fersdehl, Jacob (Melissa) Thorson, and Joseph Leighton; and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; first wife, Evelyn Claire (Johnston) Harry; daughters, Brenda Jo Harry and Infant Daughter; brother, David Wesley (Wes) Harry Jr.; and sister-in-law, Annabett J (Whitten) Harry.
Friends and family are welcome to attend the visitation on Friday, March 15 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Veile Mortuary, 301 S 8th St, Worland, Wyoming, 82401. A celebration of life will take place, officiated by Randy Harry, on Saturday, March 16 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Chapel Community Church, 1101 Russell Ave, Worland, Wyoming, 82401. A graveside service with military honors will follow immediately at Riverview Memorial Gardens.
