Obituary of Marcia Lynn Moses
Marcia Lynn Moses passed away on January 5th, 2021 after a 9 year struggle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Cleo and Vanda Stirn on September 13, 1941. She grew up in Fort Wayne, graduated from South Side High School and International Business College. She moved to California and lived in San Francisco for 2 years before returning to Fort Wayne. Upon her return, she met and married Louis Moses on August 27, 1966. They had 2 sons, Steven and Benjamin Linsccott. During their married life they lived in 7 states. They moved back to Indiana in 1990 and settled in Carmel, IN. She attended Zionsville Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile, Koran Temple #30 in Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Patrick Moses in 2013, and her older son, Captain Steven J. Moses, MD, in 1998, and her mother in 2016, and her father in 1990, her brother-in-law Steven Francis Moses in 2015. She is survived by her son, Benjamin (Amy), Fishers, Indiana; 2 grandsons, James and Dylan; brother, James Stirn (Nancy) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 3 nieces, Elisabeth Moldes (Corey) of Concord, California, Katherine Freeman (Matthew) of Findlay, Ohio, and Becky Freeman (Rick) of Laotto, Indiana. Visitation for Marcia will begin at 4:00 pm on Friday, January 15th and conclude at time of remembrance services at 6:00 pm at Leppert Mortuary - Nora Chapel (740 E. 86th Street in Indianapolis). Masks are required and social distancing exercised please.
