

81, of Carmel, Indiana, departed this life on Monday, July 12, 2025. She was born October 8, 1943 in Pueblo, Colorado to the late Talo & Flora (Armijo) Nava. Dolly was the oldest of 12 children. She grew up and attended schools in Pueblo, Colorado and was a graduate of Centennial High School in Pueblo. Dolly met Richard while he was in the Army at Fort Carson in Colorado. After her marriage to her late husband Richard, they moved to Carmel Indiana. Dolly started working at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, in the Telemetry Department, where she was known to everyone as “Sam”. This nickname was given to her after the golfer, Sam Snead, even though she didn’t golf. Later she transferred to the Beltway Surgery Center in Carmel, Indiana and worked as an Insurance Verification Specialist until she retired.
Dolly never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her. She loved all types of music and dancing. She was outgoing, spontaneous, and was always ready to get out and do something, she was a vibrant, fun loving person, who was full of life.
Family meant everything to her, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren as well as spending time in Colorado with her family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard O. Sneed; her parents; son, Gary Sneed and siblings, Frances, Robert and Brian.
Dolly is survived by her devoted son, Rich (Traci) Sneed; grateful grandchildren, Madelyn, Sophie, Nicole and Gary; beloved siblings, Luther, Alfonso, Lydia, Susie, Madelyn, Andy, Tracy, Chip and Tim and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass in Pueblo for Dolly will be announced at a later date.
