
Patricia Anne (Kinsman) Shafer, age 90, of Carmel, went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 27th, 2024. She was born on October 9th, 1934 as Patricia Anne Kinsman, daughter of the late Alfred and Alma (Futch) Kinsman, and was one of four children. Preceded in death by her sister, Helen Hoffeins, brother Granville Kinsman and sister, Charlotte Miller.
Pat (Trish) graduated from Indiana University where she was a member of Delta Gamma and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in speech therapy. She worked as a speech therapist and then as a stay-at-home mom until marrying her late husband, James Shafer, and they were blessed with two daughters. She was an active member of Primelife and made her church home at Trinity Baptist Church of Carmel.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy (Mike) Moran and Julie (Wally) Simpson, her grandchildren, Kim, Douglas (Stephanie) , Duncan Moran, Robert (Brittany) Simpson, Lauren (Alex) Ruckman, and her great grandchildren, Rori, Layla and Mia Moran and Oleander Simpson.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Trinity Baptist Church of Carmel. Visitation will start at 5:00 pm followed by the service at 6:00 pm. Please no perfume or cologne due to extreme allergies.
In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Pat (Trish), donations can be given to the American Heart Association, Cancer Treatment Centers of America or the Alzheimer’s Association.
