Susanne “Sue” Minton, 89, of Carmel, Indiana passed away peacefully March 25th, 2024. Susanne was born May 27, 1934 to the late Henry and Dorothea Sackett. She grew up in Gary, Indiana, attended Horace Mann school and graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Business. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and those friendships continued throughout her life.
Susanne was a beloved wife and mother. She worked as a secretary at Faith Missionary Church for several years before serving as a volunteer chaplain in the ER at St. Vincent Hospital-Indianapolis. Susanne was a woman of great faith who had a heart for others and a smile that lit up any room she entered.
Susanne is survived by her husband of 67 years, Phillip Minton; her son David Minton (Liz); her son Jim Minton; her daughter Shannon Joslin (Jürgen); and her grandchildren Maggie, Abbie, Keller, and Sofia
Services to honor and celebrate Susanne’s life will be held at Cornerstone Lutheran Church, 4850 Main St., Carmel, IN 46033 on April 13th. Visitation 12-1pm followed by the funeral service at 1pm. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
