Bernard Joseph Mac Dougall

MacDougall, age 72, of Inverside, on January 25th., 2012. He was a son of the late John D. and Margaret (Mac Donald ) Mac Dougall. Left to mourn his loss are his brothers, Parr (Kaye), Inverness; Philip (Beverlee), Halifax, and sisters, Stella C.N.D, Sydney, and Susan (Joey), Sydney.

Bernie was well-known throughout the communities of western Cape Breton while serving as a

dedicated funeral director for over thirty years. Quiet by nature, Bernie avoided the limelight. He was passionate about automobiles and always enjoyed owning a new vehicle. Bernie would never turn down a hot cup of tea and sweets!

Bernie was a member of St. Margaret of Scotland and Stella Maris Church, Inverness.

Bernie had many friends, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his wife, Sharon (Mac Donald) Mac Dougall;

sisters, Catherine, Margaret, Annie Mae, Isabell, and Alena; brothers , Dougald, Alex L, Ronald , George and Douglas.

Bernie will rest in Inverness funeral home on Sunday, January 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will take place on Monday at 2 p.m. from Saint Margaret of Scotland Church, Broad Cove with Father Duncan Mac Isaac officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Margaret of Scotland Cemetery Fund, Broad Cove or to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society.
