Donald was born in Judique in 1944 to the late Alec Dan and Marie MacLellan, the eighth of twelve children.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marie; and siblings, Peter, Isobel, Elizabeth, Willie and Irene.
He is survived by his sons, Donald (Donna), Darryl (Kate); granddaughter, Crystal; siblings, Lawrence MacLellan, Theresa (Cameron d.) MacDonald, John (Danena) MacLellan, Agatha (Maurice d.) McQuaid, Mary Margaret (Robert) MacDonald, Isobel (Smokey) MacNeil; sister-in-law, Gloria MacLellan and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald was a quiet, unassuming soul, and a hard, honest worker who loved his boys. He was a lobster fisherman's helper, a lumberman, a trapper, a fisherman and hunter.
He was a devout and longtime member of St. Andrew's Parish, Judique.
Donald was active in his younger days enjoying bowling, walking with his friends on the local trails, and enjoying visits with his friends and family. Family meant a lot to him as he was very "Clannish". He will be sorely missed.
Visitation will be held in the Judique Volunteer Fire Department on Sunday, May 25th, 2025 from 3-7 pm. Funeral Mass to take place in St. Andrew's Church, Judique on Monday, May 26th at 11:00 am with Father MacMillan officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
