James "Jimmy" MacDonnell

MacDonnell, James Angus “Jimmy”- Age 59. It is with great sadness that we announce his passing on Thursday November 22, 2012, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney surrounded by his loving family. Born in Inverness on January 20, 1953, he was the son of the late John Angus and Mary Lizzie (MacIsaac) MacDonnell. Jimmy was a member of Stella Maris Parish, Inverness. Jimmy was a member of Local 92 and of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 132, Inverness. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 38 years, Norma (MacKay); children, Johnny (Dawn), New Glasgow; Adam (Tina), Halifax; Cathy (Paddy),Poirier, Inverness; sister, Mary Catherine (Wayne), MacDonald, Inverness. He is also survived by grandchildren, who will miss him dearly, Breton, Logan, Corbin & Branden. Special nephews, JJ (Fay), Jimmy (Jane); several brothers &

sisters-in-law.

Jimmy was predeceased by his sister, Marion in infancy. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 26, in Stella Maris Church, Inverness from 10-10:45 a.m., with funeral mass to follow at 11 a.m. Fr. Duncan MacIsaac officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Family flowers please, memorial donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or to a charity of your choice.
