Age 73, of Pugwash, NS formerly of Mabou passed away peacefully September 18, 2019 in Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Sydney on January 4, 1946, he was a son of the late Angus D. and Flora Beaton. He was a very kind and compassionate man who loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and trapping. He had a passion for music (especially John Allan Cameron) and loved strumming his guitar.
John Regis is survived by brothers, Don, Sydney; Damien (Maureen), Mabou; Larry (Linda), Mabou; Fabian (Rosemary), Hamilton, Ont.; Harold, Fall River; sisters, Marian (Roddie) MacLennan, Halifax; Willanna (Bill) MacDonald, Mabou; sister-in-law, Marguerite Beaton, Pictou; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Angela Herzog (2007); brothers, Clarence (2016) and Hugh R. (2018).
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation.
There will be a private family burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Mabou
A celebration of life will be held at Mabou Fire Hall ,11287 HWY 19, Wednesday, September 25th from 4-6 p.m.
