MacLean, John Alexander “Jackie” Age 62, of Inverness formerly of Scotsville, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Inverness on January 14, 1951, Jackie was a son of Donald Hugh MacLean and the late Nellie Josephine (MacLeod) MacLean. Jackie is survived by his father, Donald; son, Josh MacLean, Truro; and daughter, Maggie MacLean, New York; and their mother, Ardith MacLean, Truro, brother, Brian (Anne), Scotsville, uncle, John T., Inverness; aunt, Beverly MacQuarrie, Port Hawkesbury; nephews, Donnie MacLean and David MacLean, both of Ontario; niece, Abby MacLean, Abu Dhabi, Middle East; granddaughter, Reese MacLean, New York. Jackie was predeceased by brothers, Benjamin and Wayne; sister, Margaret, uncles, George and Ainslie; grandparents, Donald and Mary Ann MacLean and Mable MacLeod. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service and burial to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to East Lake Ainslie Presbyterian Church or to a charity of your choice.
