

Born in Inverness, she was a daughter of the late Hughie and Sadie (Mac Isaac) Mac Innis. Tootsie was the wife of the late Neily Mac Donald. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Tootsie will be dearly missed by all her loved ones. Her children, Jo Anne, Donnie (Lorraine), Alan, Bev, Lyndon (Cheryl), Darryl, Lisa (Brian); and her adoring grandchildren, Matt, Mike (Melody), Jay, Samantha, Sabrina (Melvin), Jesse, Gillies, Barbara Jean (Quinn), Cindy, Tabathia, Amber, Joanna, Christopher, Cory (Kathryn), Lyndell, Cody, Neil, Little Darryl, Derrick, Terry, Mitchell, and Eric; along with her 14 great-grandchildren, Cally, Kacey, Hunter, Robyn, Neilah, Autumn, Kendra, Karter, Brayden, Ethan, Bronson, Reese, Dominic, and Brielle. Tootsie was thrilled to know she would have 7 more great grandbabies before the end of 2016.
Tootsie is also survived by her siblings, Ellen, Ann, Gena, Marie, Brian, Rosie, Louise and Agnes as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
Tootsie was predeceased by her husband, Neily, her parents, Hughie and Sadie; her sister, Margie and her brother, Kevin.
She worked for many years as the Prothonotary of the Supreme Court at the Port Hood Courthouse.
We will always remember Tootsie for her kindness, her caring and her giving attitude. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and to her community. She was a lifelong member of the CWL and was President for several years as well as serving on other committees in her community. Tootsie like to enjoy life to the fullest. She enjoyed camping, boating, swimming, even driving a stock car! Tootsie was an excellent seamstress, baker of homemade bread, and enjoyed many hobbies (reading, knitting, quilting and all types of crafts). She loved music, dancing, spending time with friends and family and for the last few years being a member of the Red Hat Society.
Mom we will forever be grateful for all you have done for us. Now it’s time for you to rest. We love you.
Visitation will be held in Port Hood Resting Place: Thursday April 14th from 7 -9 pm and Friday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm with Funeral Mass on Saturday April 16th at 10 am in St. Peter’s Church, Port Hood with Father Vincent Van Zutphen officiating. Interment in St Peter’s Cemetery at a later date.
