I'm so sorry to hear of Michael's passing.   He was so kind to me when I was growing up and he and Carmella were such good neighbours.  I remember when they were married. I was a teenager and was so excited. The Harbour will miss him.

It saddened me to hear  that Michael had passed . The friendship  of my parents and micheal and carmella    is special  in my memories,  there were so many fun times and laughs  ,cards  games a big part of there  social life ,  always tea and great food . 
There were numerous  shenanigans  usually  with a 
 certain Captain M   playing a part .
Micheal was our bus driver ,our mail man our trusted friend  to our family .
I will miss the loving greeting  when  I stepped into the big kitchen and poked you head around the  corner. 
Micheal had great love for his family and "mommy"  .
Always a chocolate bar on hand  to help take tears and hurt away from little  bumps and scrapes. 
To all the family ,I  was blessed to have been a part of your lives and to have had strong  family role models  in my life.

Our family sends our condolences and love .  Your Mother and Father always opened their arms and their hearts to Mike, Bill and I on our visits to Margaree.  Even though we were separated by geography they always made us feel like we were part of the family and were coming home. Mike like my own dad, Thomas ,tried to live up to the notion that a man had to be strong and stoic and they tried so hard to keep their emotions under wraps.  However they were such softies, with big hearts, especially when it came to family.  Uncle Michael couldn’t help but get emotional when he talked about his children and grandchildren.  He radiated love and  caring . He was so proud of all of you.  You are his legacy and I know you take that compassion, love and care into the world.  He was a great Father and a wonderful Uncle that will be sadly missed. My Dad sends his love and if his health would permit, he would be there.

Deepest condolences to the whole family.  Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the funeral. Lot's of fond memories of Michael when hanging out with Kevin during my school years. So sorry to hear about Michael , we always visited him on the way to Glacé Bay from PEI . Lovely gentleman. We are in Ireland and I lit a candle for him in St. Michaels Church in Tipperary today. God bless his children, our thoughts and prayers are with you . Frank and Donalda  (mc Neil ) Shanahan.

Sorry to hear of your father's death. He was our mailman in St.Rose for many yrs. where I lived with my uncle. It was always so exciting to run to get the mail & sometimes have a little chat.

Your Dad was a great man. Mom and Dad had many card games, laughs and a few shots. I think the ladies let them have their fun so they could beat them. 
He was a good bus driver who drove us all. 
We had more fun when he would forget to stop and we knew it was fishing season.

Michael was such a gentle, kind, generous and soft spoken man. I have many great memories when he would come to our home in Dunvegan. It was nice to see the great friendship that my parents had with Michael and Carmella..
