Michael Edward Merlin

Michael leaves behind his mother, Mary Merlin; sister, Jane (Carl) Kaiser; brother, Daniel Mac Lennan; sister-in-law, Melissa Mac Lennan; and his daughter. Michael is also survived by his nieces, Amanda Kaiser, Charlie Mac Lennan; nephews, Charles (Crystal) Kaiser, Curtis (Jewel) Kaiser and Tannor Mac Lennan. Michael had four great nieces and nephews, Olivia Kennedy, A J Kaiser, Joseph Kaiser and Delilah Kaiser. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins who were always good to him.

Michael liked fishing and swimming at the beautiful Inverness beach. He was well known for fixing things and was always up to a challenge. He was a kind soul who was willing to help anyone out. He loved a good laugh, telling jokes and always had a story to tell. He was proud of his Scottish/Irish heritage and the Raven off the Rock Clan.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday May 14,2025 in St. Margaret’s of Scotland Church, Broad Cove with from 10:00 am until 10:45 am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 am. Burial at a later date. Family and friends are welcome to join the family for a light lunch at the Inverness Legion after the funeral. Memorial donations in his memory would be apricated to the Inverness Food Bank.
