

Patricia Anna "Patsy" Le Fort was a natural leader whose winning presence allowed her to take control of various situations with ease. Equipped with a clear and calculating focus, she possessed a tough-minded, “take charge” attitude. She had the ability to make even routine situations seem exciting, and she was at ease with the role of playing problem solver. Patricia Anna "Patsy" always sought out the scene of where the action was. Sociable, analytical and pleasant, Patricia Anna "Patsy" was an individual who enjoyed life’s challenges.
Mom was born on May 20, 1930 in Inverness, Nova Scotia. Her parents were Jack and Jessie MacIsaac and she was raised by James and Sarah MacMillan. Patricia Anna "Patsy" was raised in Inverness. Always able to express herself well, Patricia Anna "Patsy" possessed strong interpersonal skills. She was optimistic in her outlook on life and was able at all times to be open and direct in her communication. Armed with a great wit, Patricia Anna "Patsy" was raised to be accepting of others and to implement a strong personal work ethic.
Blessed with a balanced attitude, Patricia Anna "Patsy" was able to relate well with others. Her occasional role as family mediator gave her the opportunity to ease tense situations when they occurred. Patricia Anna "Patsy" was raised with Eight siblings. Patricia Anna "Patsy" had a strong desire to be treated fairly and would readily offer others the same fairness in return.
Patricia Anna "Patsy" was the kind of person who could win others over easily. A concrete communicator, she relied on her senses to increase her involvement and awareness of others. She was always able to provide amusing repartee to her friends and acquaintances, offering a seemingly endless supply of quips, anecdotes, jokes and stories. If Patricia Anna "Patsy" had a theme song written about her, it might well have been “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.” She enjoyed her life and the experience of living it. This is how everyone will remember Patricia Anna "Patsy" Le Fort.

Le Fort Patricia Anna “Patsy” Our beloved Mom ,Gramma, and Great Gramma started her heavenly journey on Thursday January 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving children. We are sure our Dad was waiting for her with open arms, as well as some dear friends and relatives. They were a very special couple and we were very blessed and lucky to have them as our parents
Mom was born in Inverness on May 20th,1930 to Jack and Jessie(MacKenzie) MacIsaac. She was raised in a loving family by James and Sarah MacMillan.
She is survived by her children, Jack (Joanne), Halifax; Jesslyn, Inverness; Gerard (Helen), Daniel (Karen), Saint John, N.B.; and Bernice (Len/Him), McAllen, Texas; grandchildren, Jeremy(Lisa), Aaron(Teri), Ryan(Bhreagh), Ben(Trisha--the future Patricia Ann Le Fort), Alanna(Mike), Anthony(Jessica), Robert, Nicholas(Blair), and Andrew; great grandchildren; Paige, Layla, Carson, Brayden, Rory, Eloise, Ayden, Erza, Trey and Sarah; sister's -in -law, Louise, Bedford; Teresa, Hammonds Plains; Hilda, Halifax; Dorothy, Valleyfield, Quebec; Ann (Terry), Trenton,Ontario, and brother-in-law, Charlie (Vicky) Comax, B.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom was pre deceased by her sister, Catherine and the family that raised her; James and Sarah Mac Millan; sisters, Sadie, Millie ( Bernard), Sister Christina, Anne (John), Florence (Larry); brothers, Danny (Agnes), Archie "Doc" (Hanna), and Coady; nephews, Brian MacMillan, Albert and George Le Fort, Tom Everett, Rock LeFort, Robbie McVeigh and niece, Mary (Eccles) Le Fort.
She was a women of great faith and was very active in the church as well as in the community, both in Inverness and Saint John, N.B. She will be greatly missed, especially her big smile which lit up the room.
A special thank you to Dr. Egar and her staff for the care they have given to Mom over the last few years and the palliative care team.
Visitation will be held in Inverness Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Stella Maris Church with Father Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
