It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our Mom, Rose Marie Burton, 78 in Inverary Manor, Inverness on March 1, 2021 with family by her side. Rose was the last member of her immediate family. She was a wonderful Mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her kindness, shon through in her job as a nurses aid at Mary's Hill Home, Mabou; and later at ICMH. She loved, Bingo, Cards and socializing. Her friendly smile and warmth made everyone a friend. Mom loved, going for a scenic drives with Eva and Jean, and being with her family and friends. She loved spiritual and country music.
She is survived by her daughter's, Joan (Ronnie) Gillis, Eva (Alex) MacInnis and son, Robert (Florentina) Burton. Her grandchildren, Gloria and Natalie Gillis, Garrett, Arthur and Rebecca MacInnis, Faith Burton and their partners. Great grandchildren, Mia, Ronnie and Kyle MacDougall, Kaylynn and Keegan MacInnis and soon to be baby boy MacInnis. She is also survived by several step grand children, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, the late Mary Florence (White) and louis Varrence, brothers, Joseph, Louis, Victor Varrence and sister, Jean Cameron, infant daughter, Gloria Ann, daughter, Mary Florence, grandson, Keegan MacDonald and Former husband, Arthur Burton. Funeral Service will be held in St. Matthews United Church, Inverness on Thursday March 18 with visitation from 1-1:45 pm and Funeral service to follow at 2 p.m., Pastor Maggie Plant celebrating, Burial at a later date in St Matthews Cemetery. Memorial donation in her memory may be made to Inverary Manor, Inverness or to a charity of your choice.
