Alvin Clyde “Booger” Bounds, 72, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas. Memorial service at 3 PM on Friday, April 23, 2021 in the Sullivan Funeral Home chapel in Vernon, Texas with Paul Neuberger officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas.
Booger was born January 22, 1949 in Electra, Texas. He was raised by Leon and Margaret Magness in Electra where he attended and graduated from Electra High School. He then attended Midwestern State University and worked at Johnny Brown’s Texaco at night. Booger later opened his own Texaco service station in Electra and operated it for eight years. He then worked for Flusche Supply Store, afterwards he opened his own oil field supply store where he owned and operated for 21 years. Booger loved to play the piano and always enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf; but especially loved spending time with his friends and family.
Booger was preceded in death by his father, Leon Magness; and brother, Charlie Bounds.
Surviving relatives include his son, Aaron Bounds and wife, Dawn of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Haley Bounds and fiancé, Destry Wood; and Lexi Bounds of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and two great grandsons, Brekyn Wood and Jaxton San Pedro, & sister Cissy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Cancer Hospital.
