History

Dutton Funeral Home traces its roots back to 1908, when J.A. Tanner established Tanner Undertaking Company at the corner of East Cash and North Wall streets. Later, J.A. Tanner relocated the business to the family’s East Cash Street residence, where it remains to this day. In 1933, J.A. Tanner’s son, R.A. "Buddy" Tanner, joined the family business. The Tanner family operated the funeral home with love and compassion for the next 63 years.

A lasting legacy

Dutton Funeral Home is the oldest continuously operating business in Iowa Park. With more than a century of thoughtful and professional funeral services behind it, Dutton Funeral Home carries on the rich tradition started by the Tanner family all those years ago.
