Barbara Joyce Eldridge

Barbara was a graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing, Ft. Worth, Texas and was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. She retired from her position at Allergy Associates of Austin in 1994.

Barbara served her nation as a military wife for over 20 years, a housewife, and mother of three children. She was widowed in 2000 from her husband Ernie after 48 years of marriage. Barb and Ernie traveled extensively by motor home with the Sojourners organization prior to Ernie’s death.

Barbara is survived by her children, Terri Decker and husband, Max of Iowa Park; Ted Eldridge of Santa Rosa, California and Ron Eldridge and wife, Lee Milligan of Pflugerville, Texas; sisters, Sarah Brady and Fee Wheeler both of Iowa Park, Texas and Ginger Mason and husband, Johnny of Wichita Falls, Texas; a brother, Cole Tidwell of Ardmore, Oklahoma; a granddaughter, Casey Russell and husband, Andrew of Mansfield, Texas.

Memorial services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the First Christian Church, 210 E. Cash, Iowa Park, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice or to the 1st Christian Church of Iowa Park, Texas.
