Chandra Fairchild, a brave, strong, and gentle soul, passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on April 7, 1964, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Charles and Nina Quick, Chandra's journey through life was marked by humor, love, and resilience.
Chandra spent her early years in Iowa Park, Texas, where she graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1982. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to Midwestern State University, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science in 2005.
Her career was as diverse as it was fulfilling. Chandra worked at Stanley Tools until its closure in 1999, followed by a stint at Discovery Depot until 2008. She then joined Xerox, where she worked until 2017, and finally, she found her place at Blue Cross Blue Shield, where she remained until her passing.
Chandra was married to Ronnie Dewayne Fairchild until his passing 14 years later. Together, they were blessed with two children, Dylan and Nina Fairchild, who were the light of her life. She was also a beloved grandmother to Ava Rose Fairchild.
A woman of many interests, Chandra loved crafting, puzzling, and drawing. She was a devoted Bon Jovi fan and enjoyed watching television, especially "Supernatural," with her daughter. Above all, she cherished her time with her family and embraced her role as a grandmother.
Chandra will be remembered as a loving mother, a beloved grandmother, and a selfless person who provided a loving and safe environment for those around her. Her sense of humor was unmatched; she was a comedian who could make anyone laugh, even in the bleakest situations.
She is survived by her son Dylan Fairchild, daughter Nina Fairchild, granddaughter Ava Rose Fairchild, brother-in-law Lane Stevens, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie Fairchild, father Charles Quick, and sister Teresa Stevens.
Chandra's legacy of love, laughter, and strength will continue to inspire all who knew her.
