

W.D. “Dean” Jackson passed December 31, 2015 in Pasadena, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10 Am on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Highland Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Don Pelikan, First United Methodist Church of Wichita Falls, officiating. Visitation will be held for 3 PM to 5 PM on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Dutton Funeral Home.
Dean was born in Coleman, Texas on March 3, 1929 to Robert and Lois (Green) Jackson, and was raised in Iowa Park, Texas. Dean graduated from W.F. George High School and then moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1949 to work for Mathieson Chemical Corporation. During his two years in the US Army, he was stationed at Fort Hood and served with the 2nd Armored Division in Germany. He married Betty Jo Hatten in 1953. He worked as a supervisor at Mobil and retired in 1985. As an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Pasadena, Texas for 60 years, he enjoyed serving with the Levites, volunteering as an usher, driving the church bus, helping to build the log cabin, and many other ministries.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, LaCreta Samuelson, and his twin brother, Gene Jackson.
Surviving relatives include his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Jackson; his daughter, Deanna LaFargue and husband, Dave; his son, Jim Jackson and his wife, Niky; and six grandchildren: Russell and wife, Brittany LaFargue, Wendy LaFargue, Emily Jackson, Angela Mauro, and Kyle Mauro; and twin great-grandsons, Grant and Clay LaFargue.
