He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, on September 9, 1948, to Andy and Effie Kenyon.
Donald spent the majority of his life in Iowa Park. On June 30, 2012, Donald married the love of his life, Machelle Reynolds, and they shared nearly twelve years of cherished memories together.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Effie Kenyon, as well as his siblings: Jimmy, Tommy, Irvin, Bobby, Maggie, and Ruth, along with his granddaughter, Whitney Miller.
Donald is survived by his devoted wife, Machelle Kenyon, and his children: Wayne and Mickie Kenyon of Burleson, Texas; Tammy and Joe Miller of Odessa, Texas; Christy Kenyon of Iowa Park, Texas. He is also survived by his stepchildren: Clay Hobbs and Betsy Chandler of Iowa Park, Texas; Katy Hobbs and Bryan Hrinek of Grimes, Iowa. Donald leaves behind a legacy of love and family, including 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Throughout his life, Donald worked as a truck driver, spending many years with Wichita Medal Products. He was passionate about drag racing and shared this love with his son, Wayne. Together, they enjoyed working on drag cars and attending races, creating lasting bonds and cherished memories.
In his later years, Donald found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially while sitting on his back porch, cooking out, and watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play.
A visitation for Donald will be held Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dutton Funeral Home, 300 E Cash St, Iowa Park, TX 76367. A graveside service will occur Monday, May 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Highland Cemetery.
