Dorothy Virgina Vanspeybroeck, 88, of Iowa Park, Texas, passed away on March 7, 2026. Dorothy will be remembered with admiration for a life marked by devotion to family and the steady strength of everyday work and joy.
Born on August 10, 1937, Dorothy graduated from Henrietta High School in 1955. She married Robert (Bob) Vanspeybroeck on June 1, 1973, and they remained married until his passing on January 4, 2003. In 1974, Dorothy moved to Iowa Park, where she made her home and became a familiar presence in the community.
Dorothy worked faithfully as a waitress over the years, including at Mcbrides, Dairy Queen in 1984, and City Cafe in Iowa Park in 1992. Her work reflected the dignity she brought to serving others—day in and day out, with consistency and care.
Outside of work, Dorothy enjoyed the interests that made her uniquely herself. She was a devoted Nascar fan and took pleasure in jigsaw puzzles, word searches, and making wreaths. Dorothy also had a fondness for Harley Davidson and was a dedicated doll collector—interests that reflected both her spirited side and her appreciation for the things that brought comfort and fun to daily life.
