Evelyn Juanita Pyle

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ted Gray officiating. Burial will be at Wilbarger Memorial Cemetery, Vernon, Texas under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Evelyn was born July 26, 1924 in Thackerville, Oklahoma to Trammell Clayton and Sarah Cornelia (Martindale) Pope. She and Reid Pyle were married December 10, 1942 in New York City, NY. She was a homemaker and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Iowa Park, Texas. She was a resident of Iowa Park for 25 years. She came to the Iowa Park area from Lake Waurika, Oklahoma.

Her parents, husband and a son, Gerald Pyle, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children, Pat Goss and husband Greg of Iowa Park, Texas, Linda Johnson and husband, Doug Johnson of Orange Grove, Texas, Rita White and husband, J.W. of Wichita Falls, Texas and Gary Pyle of Chattanooga, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Ada Mae Grant of Mangum, Oklahoma and Zelma Dowdy of Lake Waurika, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel.
