George Raymond Wright

George Raymond Wright, age 74, passed away on April 12, 2015 from heart failure. He is now in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

George was born July 19, 1940 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was one of seven children born to Elihue Allen Wright and Cliffard Elizabeth Forson Wright. George loved his family. He was an avid sports fan and would attend all his nieces and nephews sporting events through all kinds of weather. He enjoyed fishing with his many friends. He had an incredible green thumb and could make a garden flourish.

George is survived by his sisters Patricia Wyatt, Mary Hardin and husband, Frank, Lucille Roach, all of Iowa Park; brother, Robert Wright and wife, June of Magnolia, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. George is preceded in death by his father Elihue Allen Wright, mother, Cliffard Elizabeth Wright, sister, Dorothy Wright, brother Royce Buddy Wright, Brother-in-Law R.D. Shorty Roach and niece Darnell Richardson.

George “Uncle Georgie” will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Neal officiating.
