Jerry D Brown

He was born to the late Chester and Lorene (wolf) Brown on June 30, 1942, in Big Springs, Texas. Jerry grew up in up in Valley View, Texas, near Kamay, Texas, and Graduated from Valley High School in 1960. He married his childhood sweetheart, Mona Damaris Jackson, on November 12, 1960 in Kamay, Texas. Jerry and Mona owned and operated a Title and Abstract Company in Dodge City, Kansas where he also worked for Gibson Discount Center. The pair later moved to Lawton, Oklahoma where he managed the Gibson’s Discount Center on Cache Road. They later moved to Randlett, Oklahoma where he retired from Gibson’s, and began restoring old cars. He recently moved to Burkburnett, Texas to be closer to family.

He was preceded by his loving wife of 60 years Mona Brown, His parents, Chester and Lorene Brown; His Brother Lindsey Brown wife Sharon Brown.

He is survived by his sister Glenda Stevens; Nephew Jason Stevens; Daughter Jeri Ann Helton and Husband Ben; Daughter Sheri Wright and Husband Lance; Grandchildren; Jessica Dawn Woods and fiancé Shawn McMahill, Ben Helton Jr. and wife Leota Michelle, Lindsey Anderson and husband Kevin, Arvella Walton and husband Henry Sr, Joshua Wright, Conner Ruiz and fiancé Joshua McCathern, Lillie Wright and Jacob Wright; 21 Great Grandchildren. He also leaves behind his fiancé Markey Aschenbrenner and her daughter Tori Vernon.

A visitation for Jerry will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dutton Funeral Home, 300 E Cash St, Iowa Park, Texas 76367. A chapel funeral service will occur Friday, February 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Dutton Funeral Home.

Jerry will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, 826 Rogers Rd, Iowa Park, Texas 76367.
