Rosemarie M. Griffin, 86, of Iowa Park, Texas passed away at her home on September 15, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Walter Griffin, and two daughters, Patricia Johnston, husband Troy and Cathrine Schmidt, husband Michael, and her three granddaughters, Jessica Johnston, Melanie Schmidt and Elizabeth Schmidt.
Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, February 23, 1930, Rosemarie was proud to become an American citizen in 1964, being sworn in by Judge Sara T. Hughes and graduating the top of her citizenship class. She and her husband, during his 23 year military career were stationed in many places throughout the world, her favorite being Guam.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 10 AM, in the pavilion at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas.
