William R. "Sonny" Ross

There will be a private memorial at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park on Saturday, March 19, 2011.

Sonny was born on July 24, 1943 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Willie Jay and Sadie (Burris) Ross.

He married the love of his life, Donna (Carroll) Ross from Wichita Falls on July 19, 1975.

He proudly served in the Marines for 6 years. He loved fishing and was an avid reader.

He worked for Bob Bounds Paving for about 15 years and enjoyed the bond he had with his work family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Charles and Joe Ross and son Richard Wayne Ross.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Randy Long and wife Angela of Byers TX. Monty Long and wife Christi of Wichita Falls, Alisha and Ronnie Baker of Iowa Park and Shannon Long of Beaumont TX. He is also survived by a sister Dr. Mary Ross of Wichita Falls and brother Greg Ross and wife Claire of Wichita Falls and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren and in –laws who love him very much.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
