Willie Preston Tyler

Willie Preston Tyler, 74, died Saturday, June 7, 2014 in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Neal officiating. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, June 9, 2014 in the reception room at Dutton Funeral Home.

Willie was born July 24, 1939 to Herbert Curtis and Lula (Bryant) Tyler. He married Leveta Conway on July 15, 1961 in Wichita Falls. He served his country in the US Army and worked in the oilfield for Hardy Gage until retirement. Willie loved going to visit family in South and North Carolina. He liked farming, traveling, fishing, hunting and loved his grandkids and great granddaughter.

Willie is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Vetie Stroud.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Leveta Tyler of Kamay,Texas; son, Barry Tyler and his fiance, Kim Laseman of Kamay; son, Raymond Tyler of Kamay; grandkids, Lindy and Clifton Lamb of Iowa Park, Ryan and Danielle Tyler of Wichita Falls, Brady Tyler of Frisco, Texas, and Cameron Tyler of Iowa Park; one great granddaughter, Julia Lamb of Iowa Park; one sister, Magaline Floyd; and several nieces and nephews.
