Andrew "Andy" O. Harris

A memorial service for Andrew “Andy” O. Harris, 83, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Westminster Presbyterian Church officiated by Rev. Dr. Christopher Denny. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, is assisting the family.

Mr. Harris passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017. Born in Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Andrew Pinckney Harris and Virginia Mae McCoy Harris. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian. Mr. Harris retired from Honeywell following 43 years of service. For many years, he was a volunteer fireman with the Irmo Fire Department. Mr. Harris, known by many as “the man with the pipe,” never met a stranger and would greet everyone with a friendly smile and wave. He was a handy man and a jack-of-all-trades.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Gloria Faye Harris; children, Randy Lee Harris (Elena), Stephanie Jenene Welch, Jason Wesley Harris (Maurizio Francescon), Patricia Faye Dahan (Joseph); grandchildren, Chelcey Elise Norton, Alexander Christian Harris, Andrea Leigh Welch, Maxime Andre Dahan, Olivia Dahan; two great-grandchildren, Elliott Wester Norton, and Wyatt Asher Norton. He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
