

Funeral service for Anne McClintock Fritz, 88, will be conducted at two o’clock Monday, March 7, 2016 in the sanctuary of Ebenezer Lutheran Church-Columbia. Burial will follow at St. Andrews Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior in the church reception room.
Mrs. Fritz was graciously received into the welcoming arms of her Savior on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Hospice of Savannah. Born in Winnsboro, she was a daughter of the late James and Nina McClintock. Anne was a graduate of Winnsboro High School and Montreat College where she was a field representative. Prior to her marriage to Rev Doug Fritz in 1952, she traveled and taught on behalf of Montreat College in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia including at the prestigious Greenbrier Resort. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. In addition to her inspiring love and devotion to her family, for 34 years, she was the Heart and life of every parish that she and her husband served in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Tennessee. She was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church and The Elizabeth Circle of the Lutheran Church Women. Mrs. Fritz was also a member of the P.E.O., Chapter C in Columbia. Following an earlier retirement in Columbia, SC, Mrs. Fritz moved with her husband to a retirement community, in Savannah, GA in 2009.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Dr. Robert Douglas Fritz, two sons, Robert D. Fritz, Jr. (Kathy), David A. Fritz; grandchildren, Doug Fritz, III., Kimberly Fritz Tanner (David); and great-grandson, Everett Tanner. She is also survived by a sister, Margie Shealy. Mrs. Fritz was preceded in death by one brother, James A. McClintock, and sisters, Ruth M. Price, and Tillie Roberts.
