Born at Fort Supply, Oklahoma in 1930, Betty would live with her Aunt Edie and Uncle Hervie in Shattuck, Oklahoma. She graduated valedictorian of her high school class in 1948. She was then an honor student at Oklahoma College for Women. She and Bud were married in 1953 and had a blessed union for 56 years. Betty Jo was an excellent seamstress, pianist and cook. She served on church committees and in her women's circle at Union and Ashland United Methodist Churches in Irmo, South Carolina. She spent the last years of her life at Rolling Green Village in Greenville, SC. She was predeceased by her husband Bud and a beloved grandson.
Surviving Betty Jo are her two sons, and their wives, five grandsons, and three great grandchildren
