Blonnie Chapman Ellisor

Funeral Service for Blonnie C. Ellisor, 99, will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1028 St. John’s Road, Irmo, SC, at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2016, conducted by Pastor John Derrick. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. Mrs. Ellisor passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 surrounded by her family. Born in Irmo, she was the daughter of the late George J. Chapman and Mary Dailey Chapman. She was the wife of the late Jasper L. Ellisor. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Irmo and taught Sunday School for many years. She was also a member of WELCA at St. John’s. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her animals, and cooking those Dutch Fork specialties for her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Jasper C. (JC) Ellisor of Columbia and her daughter, Bonnie E. (Jim) Stevens of Irmo; granddaughters, Angie E. (Fred) Koen and Tara E. (Bryan) Bateman; great- grandchildren, Haley Chapman Koen and Andrew Jace Bateman; and many other extended family members who all affectionately called her ‘Granny’. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lemmie R. Chapman and Sidney J. Chapman, and daughters-in law, Helen L Ellisor and Debbie S. Ellisor. The family would like to thank Dr. Stanley McCloy and All Seasons Healthcare for making house calls; her caregivers, Carolyn Hare and Tina Felder, for their loving care; and our many family and friends for all their acts of kindness and support during her confinement at home.
